The instrument-centering ability of four Nickel-Titanium instruments in simulated curved root canals

چکیده
The aim of root canal preparation is to clean and shape the root canal system while maintaining the original configuration. However, traditional hand instruments often failed in achieving these objectives, especially when used in severely curved canals. Over the years, many nickel-titanium rotary instruments have been developed to improve root canal preparation. More flexible files made of nickel-titanium have been effective in minimizing complications in severely curved canal preparation. They are available in various designs that differ in tip and taper design, rake angles, helical angles, pitch, and presence of radial lands. Recently, new Ni-Ti rotary instrument with stainless-steel orifice shaper and quasi-rectangular cross sectional shape, NRT (Mani, The instrument-centering ability of four Nickel-Titanium instruments in simulated curved root canals

Shaping ability of ProTaper NEXT and BT-RaCe nickel-titanium instruments in severely curved root canals.
AIM To compare the shaping ability of four different nickel-titanium rotary instruments during the preparation of curved root canals in extracted teeth. METHODOLOGY A total of 80 root canals with curvatures ranging between 25° and 39° were divided into four groups of 20 canals. Based on radiographs taken prior to instrumentation, the groups were balanced with respect to the angle and the radi...
متن کاملComparison of Shaping Ability of Five Nickel-Titanium Rotary Instruments in Simulated Curved Canals
This study compared the shaping ability of five Ni-Ti rotary files (ProTaper Universal, Reciproc, Hyflex CM, ProTaper Next and TF Adaptive) in simulated root canals. Each group consisted of 10 root canals. Preand post-instrumentation photographs were taken using a precise camera and superimposed with Photoshop. Material removal from the inner and outer canal walls, transportation and centering ...

Cone beam computed tomography is a 3-dimensional high resolution imaging method. The purpose of this study was to compare the effects of 3 different NiTi rotary instruments used to prepare curved root canals on the final shape of the curved canals and total amount of root canal transportation by using cone-beam computed tomography. A total of 81 mesial root canals from 42 extracted human mandib...

AIM To compare the shaping ability of Mtwo instruments with K3 and RaCe instruments. Part 1 of this two-part report describes the efficacy of these nickel-titanium instruments in simulated curved root canals. METHODOLOGY Simulated canals with 28 degree and 35 degree curves in resin blocks were prepared with Mtwo instruments using a single length technique and with K3 and RaCe instruments usin...
متن کاملComparison of the shaping ability of RaCe, FlexMaster, and ProFile nickel-titanium instruments in severely curved root canals
BACKGROUND This in vitro study compared the shaping ability of RaCe, FlexMaster, and ProFile rotary nickel-titanium instruments in severely curved root canals of extracted teeth. MATERIAL AND METHODS Sixty maxillary molars with curvatures ranging from 25° to 65° were embedded in a muffle system and portioned into five horizontal sections (thickness 1.2 mm), starting from the apex. Canals were...
